FAQ
Do you store IP addresses?
No. The consent loader sends the request directly to our edge; we resolve a coarse country code from edge geo headers and store only a per-website-peppered hash of the IP (used for rate limiting). We never store raw IPs.
Is the loader async or sync?
Both. The async snippet is one line and is fine for most US/RoW sites. For EU/EEA/UK we recommend the sync snippet (or the GTM template) so Consent Mode v2 defaults arrive before Google tags fire.
Can I host the loader on my own CDN?
Yes. The loader is a single ~12 kB JS file in packages/consent-loader/dist/consent.js. Upload it to your CDN, point data-cdn-base at the new origin.
Do you claim full GDPR compliance?
No. Compliance depends on legal context outside the software (DPA, sub-processors, copy review). We publish honest compliance notes per release.
Can I import existing cookie classifications?
Manual reclassification is supported per cookie. Bulk import / export is on the Phase-2 marketplace roadmap.
