- Do I need Google Consent Mode v2?
- Do you use Google Ads or GA4 and have visitors from the EU, EEA or the UK? Then yes. Since 6 March 2024 Google requires the Consent Mode v2 signals; without them, remarketing, conversion measurement and modelling are limited.
- How fast can I install CookieKompas?
- Most sites are live within about 10 minutes via our Google Tag Manager template, which fires before your Google tags so the defaults are correct. A standalone script tag also works.
- Does CookieKompas also block trackers like the Meta Pixel?
- Yes — scripts you tag (or link to consent via GTM) stay blocked until the visitor consents to that category. We do not automatically block untagged scripts; the cookie scanner shows you what to tag.
- Where is my data stored?
- Your data stays within the European Union and we run on green energy. We are a Dutch company and support you in English and Dutch.
- Is this "100% GDPR-proof"?
- No tool can promise that — compliance also depends on your policies, copy and processing activities. We set Google Consent Mode v2 correctly, log every choice and generate a cookie policy as a starting point. Always have your setup reviewed legally.
